When I arrived my doctors told me they were hoping for the best, but really didn't know how far I would be able to come back. At the time I could only go a few steps and couldn't take care of my personal care needs. From day one, your PT and OT department have gently pushed me to do what I could. When I would find an excuse not to, they would gently remind me of why I was here, to get more independent. Your nursing staff has taken care of all my care needs with my dignity and comfort in mind all the time. They also have given me choices whenever possible. Your nurses and CNA's are the best I have ever seen! I know because I have been a CNA myself since 1970.

 I want to let you know about your staff members. I feel that my recovery to this point has been possible because of these special people. Tyler, with PT, has always been a bright spot in my day. He got me on my feet and walking little by little. Now I walk better and more than I ever thought I would or could. He never let me give up - he took it one step and one breath at a time. I will miss him after I leave because he has given me hope. And that was something I didn't have when I was admitted! Linda, in OT, has shown me, guided me and helped me learn new ways of handling my dressing needs so I can do more for myself. Also she has shown me how to take care of my personal needs. When questioned, she always took the time to explain so I would understand. She is a wonderful person and very professional in her job, which gives me hope for my recovery and my future when I leave your facility. Donna, my LPN, what a find! She is one of the nicest nurses I have ever seen and also knows her job. She always has a smile and kind words for me. When I needed meds or anthing else from her she always did what she could with care, compassion and concern, like I have seen  few times as an aide. Then there is Aimee (LPN), what a wonderful nurse! She is the sweetest, kindest nurse I will probably ever know. She always bent over backwards to do anything in her power to see to my needs. She is so professional and so real! When I first arrived here at your center I was unsure how it would go and how I would get along. It has been very pleasant and a joy to know your staff and I wanted to let you know how great your staff and center has been to me when I really needed the extra care. I was weak and needed a lot of help when I arrived and now I am doing better. I have surprised myself as well as my doctors. I guess what I am trying to say is many, many heart felt thanks for everything your staff has done!

" I have been overwhelmed with my situation (stay) at Green Valley Rehab.  My plans were to say here a few days until a bed became available in another facility because I had never heard of Green Valley.  My doctor is keeping Green Valey in mind because of what he's heard from me, about your facility and staff.  He has been quite impressed with my nursing care in healing.  The following is a list of my observations while here for 6 weeks: A very clean facility; no fowl oders; friendly, helpful staff; meals to satisfy patients taste and state laws; fun activities and entertainment; excellent/caring occupational and physical therapy staff; and a caring administration to resolve problems.  I will not question the next time I need to secure a nursing facility.  You can be assured I will recommend Green Valley Rehab to my family and friends."

"I would like to share a few thoughts with you, after a recent visit to your Rehab Center, where my brother was a patient. It was pleasant to see the Center so clean and orderly. This speaks well of those who work so hard to achieve this very good 'first' impression. A second impression, as favorable, was the several staff members who greeted me in a pleasant manner and inquired if they could help me. I found this to be consistent in my visit. Meeting the Rehab staff further confirmed that my brother was in good hands. Each therapist was courteous allowing me to observe Mark’s treatment. I want to express my gratitude to all the staff, and encourage them to continue in this thoughtful service. I would ask you to take a few minutes to convey to them the great appreciation I have for them all!"

"My mother had a stroke in October of 2005.  As a result, shortly thereafter, she was admitted to Green Valley Rehabilitation Health Center. I’d like to acknowledge two exceptional staff that went out of their way to provide outstanding care – John Siberz, OTA, and Esther Munson, a night shift CNA – both of whom made her stay pleasurable and made our family comfortable with the care that she received.

John took every opportunity available to work towards reversing the effects of the stroke. He not only did the therapy to help her regain function, but then he also spent time working on relieving pain by massaging joints when it was too soon for more doses of pain medications. He was especially attentive and encouraging. John wasn’t afraid to initiate doing any task my Mom needed done (personal care, showering, dressing, etc.) to enhance her care. 

Esther went out of her way to ensure Mom’s well-being. Not only did she take exceptional care of Mom, she treated Mom like family – loving. She is a dedicated professional who truly is a friend looking out after the resident’s best interest.

If and when Mom may need the services that Green Valley provides, I would consider readmission to Green Valley, especially because of these two."
